The Creighton University alumni bade farewell to Father Howling, the retiring president of the uni versify, and extended a cordial greeting to the new president, Father Magevney, last week in Omaha. Oma-ha. The occasion was the complimentary banquet ban-quet given by the Alumna association at the Rome hotel, at which Fathers Howling and Magevney, the faculties of the professional departments W the university and about one hundred prominent pro- ' fessional and business menof the city were the guests of the association. The affair was the most elaborate ever given by the Creighton Alumni association. It Avas the first time in the history of the university that all the professors in the professional department were together to-gether at a. table. ' - ! |
