Show Orange James Salisbury Weds Marian Ma-rian McGilvray of Pasadena. At the home of the bride's . mother, Miss Marian McGilvray of Pasadena and Orange James Salisbury of Salt Lake were married at Pasadena. Cal., Wednesday night. Nearly 100 close friends of the bride and groom were present at the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. Thomas E. Sher-. man of Santa Barbara. The spacious living room, where the guests were received re-ceived by Mrs. McGilvray, was buried deep in banks of Matilija poppies and Watsonia lilies. Mrs. McGilvray wore a becoming gown of pearl gray satin, with garniture of point lace. The strains of the famous Lohengrin wedding wed-ding march ushered the bride into the room where the ceremony was performed. per-formed. She came in on the arm of her brother, Donald McGilvray. An improvised impro-vised altar had been erected upon the hearthstone, backed by a bank of lilies and greenery. The bride was attended by Mrs. Lewis McCornick, a sister of the groom, who acted as matron cf honor. Walker Salisbury was best man. Frank Judge of Salt Lake and C. B. Doud of New York were ushers. The bride wore a beautiful gown of white ivory satin, trimmed with rose point lace, and the usual bridal veil. Her flowers were orchids and lilies of the valley arranged in a shower. Mrs. McCornick wore an imported robe of white crepe, and carried a bouquet of stephanotis. Mr. and Mrs. Salisbury left for an extended wedding journey, and will not return to Pasadena, but will be at home to their friends in Salt Lake City after Sept. 1. |
