For the information of the two women who telephoned to this office on Thursday Thurs-day evening, it may be stated that veils only, not wreaths, may be worn by married mar-ried women when receiving confirmation. confirma-tion. Of late years it has become customary cus-tomary for them to wear hats, of course not "carriage wheel" size of the present fashion. Veils should never be worn over the face while receiving holy communion com-munion or confirmation. Gloves, of course, are never worn, and it would be better if the little girls wore white silk gloves instead of kid, as the little ones often find difficulty in removing the tight kid and become very nervous just before approaching the altar. |
