Show ( EUREKA, UTAH. j Mrs. Dr. Hensel Is visiting in Salt Lake for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. O'Connor, who have been visiting with friends in the east since their marriage about six weeks ago, returned home this week. Their many friends gave them a hearty welcome. Miss Genevieve Sullivan returned on Sunday after a couple of days' stay at i--alt Lake, where she attended the debate de-bate between the Eureka High school and the Gordon academy teams. Dennis Sullivan, a well known resident resi-dent of Tintic, passed away early last Sunday morning after being seriously ill for several months from miners' consumption. Last fall the deceased went to New Mexico, thinking that the change would be beneficial, but returned a couple of months ago to spend his last days surrounded by his relatives and friends. Dennis Sullivan was born in County Cork. Ireland, forty-four years ago, and came to America with his parents par-ents In 1882, settling !n Yonkers. N. Y. For over seventeen years the deceased has resided in this city, where he followed fol-lowed the mining business until poor health prevented him from working. The death is a particularly sad one. as it makes the third in the family during the past three months. Besides his mother, he leaves behind him two brothers broth-ers and two sisters, Phil and Patrick Sullivan, and Mrs. P. O'Reagan and Mrs. John Osborn. The funeral services were conducted from the Catholic church In this city on Tuesday afternoon. Rev. Father Manion officiating. A large number of friends attended the services and also followed the remains to the City cemetery, ceme-tery, where the interment took place. Eureka Reporter, May 28. |
