Cannon visited his daughters at the Sacred Heart academy in Og-den Og-den last week. Miss Loretto and Miss Genevieve Malone of Ogden were in Salt Lake during the past week. Mrs. Abbott Haywood of Ogden spent last week in the city, the guest of Miss Frances Phillips. Mrs. Haywood Hay-wood attended the alumnae banquet at St. Mary's on Saturday. Miss Alice Fisher has returned from a visit to Colorado. Miss May Kervin of Reno, Nov.. is visiting frlenda in the city for a few weeks. Mrs. Robert Gould Smith and her sister. Miss Xoble, entertained a dozen j of their friends at a supper Sunday evening for Mrs. Isaac Trumbo of San Francisco, who is the giacst of Mrs. Edward McGurrin. Mrs. Kalherine C. Belcher is so far recovering from her illness that f-lie will be home from the hospital within a fortnight. j Miss Elizabeth Fitzgerald, who has j been at the Holy Cross hospital, was taken to her home Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Roberts are I expected shortly from Wonder to spend a month or so with Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Daly. Mr. and Mrs. David R. Gray are in their new home on S street, where they will shortly be settled. j W. P. O'Meara is back from Nevada, after witnessing the starting up of the new mill on the O'Meara syndicate's Valcalda gold mines at Silver Peak and a round-up of the big lead-silver mines of the same combinations at Lone mountain. Manager M. J. McGill of the New Tork Bonanza is down from the Park attending the regular monthly meeting of the company. Mrs. Thomas Kearns and her children chil-dren and her mother. Mrs. Wilson, made the trip to Park City early in the week by motor car, remaining over for a visit with Mrs. D. J. Gallivan. Dr. W. D. Donoher left this week for Omaha, having been called there by the illness of his mother. Mrs. E. A. Wall entertained about two dozen children Saturday afternoon in honor of the tenth birthday of her little daughter Olive. Games were nlavert anA rfis a a supper was served. Mrs. Wall was assisted by Mrs. P. S. Keogh, Mrs. S. j H. Pinkerton and Miss Selma Wall. Miss Lela Sfingley ntertained a few of her friends yesterday afternoon at a bridge tea for Miss May Kervin. Three tables were played, and a number of friends dropped In later for tea. The rooms were bright with gorgeous chrysanthemums, and the hostess was assisted by Miss Kervin only.
