Show OGDEN CITY. William Sullivan has been appointed depot master at the Union depot,, and assumed his duties Monday, Aug. in. As special agent of the Southern Pacific Pa-cific for a year past, in charge of their, detective force on the Salt Lake division, Mr. Sullivan has made an enviable record, his name being a terror ter-ror 1o evil doers along the railroad. Previous to his appointment as special agent, he was labor inspector for fifteen fif-teen months and performed the duties of his office with credit. In all Mr. Sullivan has: been identified with railroad rail-road work for about six years. For fifteen years Mr. Sullivan has been a resident of Ogden and during that time he has made a host of friends who will be pleased to hear of his new appointment. He possesses the happy faculty of making friends, as well as other qualities which will make him a good depot master. Always affable, courteous and obliging, he is' just the man for such a position. -- One of the most important events in social circles is the arrival of Miss Nannie Tout from London, where ehe has been studying music for about three years. Ogden people are glad to welcome her home and undoubtedly a number of recherche affairs will be planned in her honor. f Arrangements have been completed for the appearance in the Grand opera house Wednesday night, Aug. 1!4, of Miss Nannie Tout. This will be the initial performance of the young prima donna after her return .to her home city. About a dozen of her musical friends will assist her at the concert. , Mil?. Jessie Cullen of Humboldt, Nev., who is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Cullen, gave birth to a baby girl now a week old.' j |
