OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION The following is a brief outline of some of the most important accomplishments ac-complishments in the Franklin County Schools during the past two years. 1. Adoption of a Modern Cumulative Cumu-lative Record System which makes it possible for the teachers to definitely defi-nitely analyze each student and give intelligent guidance instead of blind directions. . 2. Elimination of the old traditional tradi-tional eighth grade final examination examina-tion and substitute instead a diog-nostic diog-nostic testing and guidance program. pro-gram. 3. Adoption of a cooperative plan of purchasing school supplies, books, etc. through the Sounty Superintendent's Su-perintendent's Office. 4. All common, school districts have been placed on a standard legal financial basis, and all records rec-ords are now being kept according to standard practice. 5. All teachers are required to hold a valid teachers certificate. 6. All school districts, except one, have made miscellaneous improvements im-provements so as to meet Standard School Requirements. 7. Hot lunches have been installed in-stalled in all schools except two. 8. Athletic sports have been greatly stimulated. 9. Common schools show a cash balance on hand of $18,643.00 more than one year ago. 10. Personal expense of County Coun-ty Superintendent decreased 12 per cent. 11. County superintendent maintains main-tains regular office hours and has a telephone at the office and at his home. Future Aim If Re-elected 1. Continue above program. 2. Introduce visual education into in-to the school's. 3. Develop our present system of teaching into a more modern unit activity type of instruction. 4. Develop a more efficiem health program.
