Show Utah Woman Dies At Home Of Daughter In Clifton Mrs. Priscllla II. James, 67, wife of Robert W. James, Paradise, Utah, died Sunday night at the home of her daughter Mrs. Peter Barson, in Clifton. Mrs. James was born in Center ville, Utah, Setember 28, 1S73, the daughter of William and Elizabeth Nelson Humphreys, moving to Paradise Par-adise with her parents in 1875. Slu had lived in Paradise nearly all her life, having spent but ten years in Logan while her husband wa. county iclerk and county assesso. and the past six weeks in Clifton. Mrs. James had been active ii. LDS church work since girlhood. She joined the Paradise ward choii and taught Sunday school while still in her early teens. She had also served as Paradise YLMIA president, president of the Religion class for eight years and president of the Relief Society for many years, being released from that ot-fice ot-fice in 1937. Five children survive. They are Wllmer James of Paradise; Mrs. P. E. Barson and Mrs. W. E. Rawlins both of Clifton? LeRoy James and Mrs. W. L. Olson of Salt Lake City, Utah. One brother, Joseph J. Humphreys of Satt Lake City, Utah, and one sister, Mrs. J. H. Shaw of Logan, and 14 grandchildren grandchil-dren also survive. Funeral services were conducted in the Paradise ward Thursday. Burial took place in the Paradise cemetery. o o |
