Show LOCAL CATTLEMAN DIES, HERE MONDAY William Hyle Carpenter of Preston, Pres-ton, a retired cattleman and farmer far-mer of southern Idaho, died last Monday morning from the effects of a stroke suffered one week ago. Death came at the home of a daughter here, Mrs. Willis Wills. Born in Green Forest, Arkansas, on February A, 1SS5, he was the son of Wesley and Sarah Mattox Carpenter. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. W. J. Weatherspoon or Rupert,. Ru-pert,. MrsL Wills of Preston, and Mrs. Steven" "Cotfengim" of Parsons, Kansas; a son, Gus Carpenter of Green Forest; a brother, Eli Carpenter Car-penter of Oak Grove, Arkansas; half brother, Willis Carpenter of Pendleton, Oregon; 20 grandchildren grandchil-dren and 19 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wills and Mrs. Weather-spoon Weather-spoon accompanied the body to Green Forest where burial will take place. ' ' n n |
