Jt is believed that this number rep- resents nearly all non-citizens in i this area, unless there uay be .-oine .-mericau women who have lost their citizenship by marriage lo aliens. Cit.zenship is lost in the case of a women (1) by marriage to an alien on or alter Maneh 2 1907, and before September 22, i922; (2) by marriage to an alien ineligible lor citizens-hip on or alter March 2 1907 and before March 3, 19:11.
