Show s . Mound Valley MOUND VALLEY Mr. and Mrs. George Collins, Mrs. Annie Williams, Wil-liams, Mrs. William Williams, and Mrs. John T. Williams last week attended the funeral of 29-year-old Lawrence Moore of Idaho Falls. Mr. Moore is a nephew of George Colling. lie was an employee of the Union Pacific railroad company com-pany roundhouse in Idaho Falls. Raymond Maughan and John Hubbard of Grace were speakers in the afternoon meeting Sunday, June 22. The following Sunday, William W. Williams spoke on genealogical work and the scoutmaster, scout-master, C. P. McGregor spoke on Scout Work. Robert MrCregor was presented his tenderfoot badge by his mother, Mrs. C. P. McGregor and Jay Mendenhall also al-so received his tenderfoot badge. It was presented him by Bishop D. W. McGregor. All Scouts received re-ceived their new registration cards. Miss Barbara McGregor return ed home after a week's vacation with her sister. Mrs Owen D. Clegg of Bench Ward. The Relief Society officers met Friday at the home of Mrs. J. D. McGregor to make plans concerning con-cerning the scrapbooks for their centennial work. They arranged a program for sacrament meeting which will be held July 13, honoring honor-ing the pioneers of the ward. They will sing old time songs. A solo "Ben Bolt," will be. sung by Theon Kendall. Two tributes will be paid to our oldest female resident and our oldest male resident. Mrs. Wilford Panter will pay the first tribute to her mother, Mrs. Mary Neilsen. A second tribute will be paid to 91 year old Mr. J. D. McGregor, Mc-Gregor, Sr., by his son, C. P. McGregor The male quartet of the ward will sing "Love's Old Sweet Song," and William W. Williams, Wil-liams, one of the ex-bishops of the ward will give all the historical data concerning the changing of the name "Gentile Valley" to "Gem Valley." He will also give other historical happenings. Mrs. A. E. Hohn and children of Salt Lake, City, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Anglesey and children of Afton, Wyo., alto John W. Collins and family of Afton, spent the past week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Collins. Faye Gummersol of Bancroft spent the past week with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Aroett Bennett. Miss Margaret McGregor is feeling fine and ia on the road to recovery after spending a week in bed. Miss Lena Behle of the Idaho Falls hospital is spending her vacation va-cation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Behle. Mr. and Mrs. Aroett Bennett, also Mr. and Mrs. William Benle of Mound Valley attended the Bennett reunion at Riverdale. Ellis Prescott of Pocatello is working for .Frank A. Harris. Mound Valley has the honor of claiming the piano player in the newly organized "Rhythm Pal" orchestra. She is Miss LaRue Wright. |
