Show :;::::::::;;: ::::B::::w;;m:i::::::m::::::i::::;;:i MINK CREEK NEWS NOTES By Anna Beth Jensen Mr. and Mrs. Vern Yeates of Sacramento, Calif., were Wednesday Wednes-day night guests of Mr. and Mrs. DeVerl Hurst. Mrs. Yeates is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Richards of Preston. Two soldier boys from Mink Creek, Milo Jepsen and Wenzel Keller were home on brief furloughs fur-loughs last week. Milo returned on Saturady and Wenzel returned on Monday. Tarvel Jensen of Cleveland visited visit-ed at the home of Mrs. Louise Crane last week-end. Mrs. Crane and daughter, Merle, served a dinner din-ner Sunday in honor of Farrel's birthday. The high school held its annual election for student body officers. Max Jensen president; Helen Keller, Kel-ler, vice president; Betty Lou Wilde, secretary; Dallas Keller and jf Zelda Roper cheer leaders; The Mink Creek school commencement com-mencement exercises were held last Thursday evening in honor of the eighth grade and junior classes. A program was given, followed by a dance. The school student body attended attend-ed the show at Preston last Wednesday Wed-nesday night. This was the result of the rabbits' ears contest -which was held last winter. The captains of the two teams were Orden Ras-mussen Ras-mussen and Keith Crane with Keith's team being the winner. The losing team furnished tickets for the winners. |
