Show Girls9 Day Is Sueessful At Junior High The Junior high school Girls' Day which was held last Friday, April 24, was enjoyed by a large crowd of students and mothers. The original assembly, presented by the Pep club and their sponsor. Miss Christensen showed Alice In Wonderland with a great many experiences ex-periences which displayed the talents tal-ents of many young students. The attractive stage settings added much to the success of the program. pro-gram. Following the assembly the boys were dismissed for competitive games while the girls entertained their mothers at a dainty tea and style show. Miss Alberta Hill, sponsor, was assisted by Miss Elnora Fletcher, hostess, at the tea. Miss Ellen Bell, assisted by Shirley Palmer and Shirley Hansen received the mothers. The style show featured numerous types of dresses and outfits prepared by the Bewing classes of the Junor high and modeled by the students. The awards were then presented to outstanding pupils for these articles. art-icles. Entrance to the dance in the evening eve-ning was made through a cave which led again to Wonderland. Miss Christensen, Beth Talbot and Laura Palmer were in charge of this' part of the day's activities. The Girls' Day, Paper was edited this year by Darlene Evans with Miss Eloise Poulter as teacher sponsor. n n |
