Bar Hen Polo All Men Forty-five On C: Before February 16, 1942, and Not Sixty-five On Or Before April 27, 1942, Must Register I wo Weeks From Monday The fourth national selective service registration will be held on Monday, April 27, between the hours of 7.-00 a. m. and 9:00 p. m., it was Announced this week by the Franklin county draft board. The following chief registrars have been appointed in the county: coun-ty: Quince Rice, Clifton precinct; Ivan Waddoups, Dayton precinct; Thomas Preston, Weston precinct; Earl Cole, Frankli'n precinct; Geo. Glade, Mink Creek and Glencoe precinct; H. Nowlin Hale, Preston precinct; Winder, Banida, Treas-ureton, Treas-ureton, Glendale, Egypt, Whitney, Cub River, Fairview, and Riverdale precincts. The places of registration will be as of previous registrations Registrants who were forty-five years or more on February 16, 1942, are not liable for military service under the provisions of the Selective Training and Service Act of 1940 as amended. All men who were forty-five years of age on or before February 16, 1942, and who have not yet readied their sixty-fifth birth. 'ay pn or before April 27, 1942, are required to register on that date. Local' hoards are authorized to commence registrati .i at the local board office only on Saturday April 25, for men that cannot report on Monday, if registration supplies liavd been received, as of that date. Questionnaires have been mailed by the local board to the first 100 registrants of the third registra tion. Order numbers from 10,001 to 10,100 inclusive will receive them. Care should be taken n the filling out of every question asked of the registrant, so that the local board officials may have a true picture of the registrant's education, educa-tion, occupational status, number of persons in the family group, dependents, de-pendents, ages, sex and other in. , formation that the registrant is re. suired to furnish. Question laires that are not complete in detail will be returned for completion. The Advisory Board to assist registrants regis-trants includes P. M. Condie, A. W. Hart and Thomas Preston. |
