Roland Ro-land Hopkins last Wednesday jiight. These boys are leaving for the army on April 22. There was a program arranged by the Elders' quorum which included several talks by returned missionaries. They were Elder Maurice Balls, of Soda Springs, Idaho; and Elder Lloyd Smith of Georgetown, Idaho. They were both companions of Elder El-der Lional Keller during his mission mis-sion The remainder of the pro- gram included talks by both soldiers, sol-diers, solo, Miss Muriel Nelson; a duet, Mrs. Naomi Jensen and Mrs. Edna, Nelson; talk, Adam Keller; remarks. Bishop Hyrum Bell; cor. net solo, Kyle Nelson, Wanda Nelson, Nel-son, Grace Nelson, and Mrs. Margaret- Nelson; talk, Mrs. Hopkins, with several numbers by the Mink Creek High School band. Sunday School started at the regular time, 10.15 war time, last Sunday and will continue to do so during the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Cedrie Jepsen of Thatcher, visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jepson, bun-day. bun-day. The Junior Prom held last Friday Fri-day night was a big success. The hall was beautifully decorated with patriotic colors. A large crowd attended at-tended and a grand time was enjoyed en-joyed by all. The Mink Creek Junior choir accepted ac-cepted an invitation from River-dale River-dale to sing in their sacrament meeting last Sunday. There -was approximately ap-proximately fifty members in the , choir under the direction of D&-Verl D&-Verl Hurst and sponsored by Wm. E. Crane, Mrs. Margaret Keller and Mrs. Viola Larsen. |
