Sun-day. Graduation exercises were held here last Thursday evening for the Eighth Grade. Each person who graduated gave a talk. The program pro-gram is as follows: Song, America, by congregation; invocation, Mada Burbank; welcome wel-come address, Thurman Spatig; socialization so-cialization and education, Dean Wright; song, Arlene and Alene; What My Education Means to Me, Bonnie Dursteler; History of Ma-pleton Ma-pleton and school, Vonda Long; From the Eighth Grade On, Floyd Porter; The Importance of Education, Educa-tion, Pearl Bowman;, song, Roma and Mae; Future Hopes and Farewell, Fare-well, Eldon Bennett; presentation of diplomas, Fred E. Porter; remarks, re-marks, Mark L. Checketts; song, God Be With You, congregation; benediction, Henry L. Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Sharp and baby visited with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Sharp last Sunday. Many of our townspeopel attended attend-ed the stake conference held in Preston Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Staley and family fam-ily of Preston visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hebdon last week. Mr. and Mrs. Swen Anderson and family of Mink Creek visited with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hebdon last Sunday. |
