The Mound Valley Sunday School Mothers' Day program consisted of the following: Opening song, congregation; con-gregation; two and a half minute talk, Elder Howard Bennett who recently returned from a mission; song, "That Wonderful Mother of Mine," Theone Kendell; A Mothers' Moth-ers' Day dialogue by the Primary Class; piano solo, Joyce Panter; a memorized reading, Dora Greaves; song, quartette; accordian solo, Na-line Na-line Wright; a Mothers' Day talk, Clark Gray and a Mothers' Day poem, Gvven Bennett; tributes were then given by Bishop McGregor to Lila Gray and Hannah Bennett, who have sons in the service. Mrs. LaVon Gray Westover whose husband hus-band is a lieutenant somewhere in the service and Ida B. Condie, who has served so faithfully as nurse and doctor in Mound Valley. These mothers were presented with a nice vase' and handkerchief. All other mothers were presented with a souvenir. Principal R. C. Tyson of Thatcher Thatch-er high school and family have moved to Ogden where he is working work-ing in defense work. All the people peo-ple here wish him success in his new field of labor. Frank Harris of Mound Valley is home spending a few days with his son George and wife. Miss Florence Perry was a visitor visit-or with her mother, Mrs. Eleanor Perry last week end in Preston. The X-Cello 4-H club or Mound Valley are holding regular meetings meet-ings now, working on demonstrations, demonstra-tions, patching and food for defense. de-fense.
