Show Car Crashes Pile Up On Dale Eck Dayton Youth Figures In Pair Of Automobile Accidents On Saturday Two automobile mishaps figured in the Saturday evening happenings happen-ings of Dale Eck, son or Mr. and Mrs. William Eck of Dayton, and resulted in his being treated for a badly cut shoulder and bruises at the Preston hospital early Sunday morning. ' Dale was returning from a show in Weston with his two brothers and David Buttars in the Buttars' car when the car lights failed. In trying to continue home wrtHOut lights the car overturned near the Schwartz home and Dale received injuries. The second accident occurred on the curve by the Kemp farm at the top of the river hill at 1:30 a. m. Sunday as Mr. and Mrs. Eck were bringing their son to Preston for treatment. As the Eck car, drrven by Mrs. Eck neared the Kemp curve it was struck head-on by a car driven by Evert McDermott of Clifton who rounded the curve allegedly on the wrong side of the highway. Both cars were traveling at a moderate rate of speed and no one was injured. in-jured. The cars were both damaged dam-aged approximately to the amount of $175 each. Patrolman Harry Dabling who investigated the second sec-ond accident said that Mr. McDermott McDer-mott claimed the lights from the Eck car blinded him as he approached ap-proached the curve. Dale Eck was released from the hospital later Sunday morning. |
