Senate In an interview today Judge James R. Bothwell of Twin Falls, candidate for United States Senator Sena-tor on the Democratic ticket at the August 11th, 1942 primary election said: "In my campaign thus far, throughout the upper Snake River Valley and . eastern Idaho, I find that tho voters are showing a live interest in the coming election; this is especially true as to members mem-bers of Congress The people are keenly alert when political questions are mentioned. They want to know who are and who are not isolationists? And whether one will favor a negotiated negoti-ated peace or back Uie President in his demand for a complete victory win the war and win the peace. The next question usually asked is what are your views for economic eco-nomic rehabilitation and for security se-curity of peace after the war. The people are serious minded and in no mood to he cajoled into voting for a candidate. They are not interested in entertainment or flattery and are squarely back of the President and Administration in the present war program-." |
