Show Franklin Marshal Ends Search For Logan Youths Franklin Village Marshal Horace, Oliverson ended the thrill-seeking escapade of two Logan youths one thirteen and one nine Sunday night after they had allegedly robbed rob-bed and attempted to rob stores in Logan and Franklin. The first place the two youngsters young-sters allegedly entered was the U and I exchange of Logan. They stole two .22 calibre rifles and nine bores of shells. After that they went to the Anderson Lumber Mill of Logan. Entering the building they shot out windows and shot holes in doors. Next they broke into the Logan high school building where nothing was missing but where the tools taken from the Anderson mill were found. At the residence of L. A. Stoughton on First North and Fourth west, Logan, the youlhs at, tempted to steal an automobile belonging be-longing to C. E. Nelson of Montana Mon-tana who was staying there. They took a pair of field glasses and damaged them beyond use and took a air of gloves. They then attempted to steal an auto belonging to Boyd Lindquist of Logan, but were detected and driven off. At the home of Ben Schiess, 175 West on Fifth North street they stole My. Schiess' car and drove to Franklin where the car stopped, having been run without with-out oil. The engine was practically ruined. They then entered Don's Service of Fjranklin and took several cans of oil. The station was entered by shooting the lock from the door. Next they attempted to steal an automobile in Franklin but were detected and Marshal Oliverson caught the youths. Sheriff W. D. j Head of Preston was summoned and he held them until Logan Chief of Police Hyrum Weather-stone Weather-stone came and took the boys back to Logan. The plunder was all recovered with the exception of seven boxes of shells which were shot away. |
