Show u ' 1 ' PROMINENT LEADER OF GLENCOE DIES AFTER OPERATION Funeral services for Alfred Eric Westerberg, former bishop of the Glencoe LDS ward and prominent church worker, who died in an Og-den Og-den hospital of carcinoma Friday, were conducted in the Glencoe ward chapel Tuesday at 1 p. m. under un-der direction of Hyrum Jepsen, bifhop. Mr. Westerberg served for 11 , years as bishop of the Glencoe ward as Sunday School superintendent, superinten-dent, LDS missionary in the western west-ern states from 1919 to 1921, and at the time of his death he was a home missionary in the Oneida stake. He also was a prominent farmer. He was born April 4, 1874 in Vinokor, Sweden, a son of Eric and Caroline Olsen Westerberg. He came to America 55 years ago and made his home in Richmond, Utah. In 1903 he moved to Glencoe, where he had since resided. He married Esther Olson in the Logan LDS temple April IX, 1900. She survives as do two sons and a daughter, Melvin Westerberg of Preston, Russell Westerberg of Glencoe and Mrs. Edith Seamons of Hyde Park, Utah; four grandchildren, grand-children, a brother, August Westerberg Wes-terberg of Grace, and a sister, Mrs. Esther Larsen of Richmond. o o |
