Show SPECIAL ELK, DEER HUNTS ANNOUNCED Announcement of a special elk hunt in the Selway game preserve and a special doer hunt in the Minidoka preserve was made today to-day by Owen W. Morris, directoi of the state fish and game department. depart-ment. The Selway elk hunt will extend from October 5 to November 10 and 2,500 permits costing $1.00 each will be issued. Each applicant appli-cant may secure his permit by ap-plying ap-plying to the game department, Boise, and enclosing the number of his hunting license, $1.00 and a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Applications will be received from September 15 until the end of the hunt. There will be no drawing, but applicants will receive permits per-mits in the order their requests) are received. Regular elk tags costing $1.00 each, must be se-( cured from local license vendor's. The special deer hunt in the Minidoka preserve will extend from October 3 to 7, inclusive Permits will be selected at a pub He drawing to be held in the game department offices September 25 at 4 p. m. Applications will be received re-ceived from September 10 to 25 Each applicant must enclose $3 00 which is the price of one permit' a return self- addressed envelope and his license number with his application. Money will be returned imme-lately imme-lately to those applicants whose names are not drawn. Each application appli-cation must be submitted separately separ-ately and the price of only one Permit may be enclosed with it becks or money orders covering more than one permit will not u0 accepted.
