Show WINDER j i 3 Mrs. Marvin Winn underwent a major operation in the Preston hospital Thursday. Grant Smith had his tonsils removed re-moved recently at the Preston hospital. He is the son of Bishop and Mrs. Ingram F. Smith. Mr.- and Mrs. Carlos Taylor entertained en-tertained at a chicken supper honoring hon-oring Louis Johnson, the occasion being Mr. Johnson's birthday. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Louis Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Or-ville Or-ville Talbot and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fisher of Dayton. Mrs. Mildred Checketts and family of Ogden were guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Winn and family Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Feltman were visitors of relatives here Sunday. Mrs. Audrey Winn and son, Eugene were guests of Mrs. Winn's parents in Weston. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fisher and sen Gordon of Dayton were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Taylor and other friends and relatives rela-tives here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Thorley Taylor and daughter are making their home in Layton where Mr. Taylor is empoyed at the present. Miss Marva Kofoed is spending a couple of weeks at the home of W. S. Geddes while Mr. and Mrs. Geddes are away on a vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Golightly visited realtives here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Smith of Los Angeles, California, spent several sev-eral days last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Warrick and family. Mrs. Gustave C. Hedin presented present-ed several of. her students in a piano recital Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Warrick and children and Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Warrick and baby spent Sunday at Clifton with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Shuldberg were guests at a 'Chicken supper of Mr. and Mrs. DeVon Warrick Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Condie and family visited Mrs. Condie's parents par-ents Mr. and Mrs. William Swainston Sunday atfernoon. Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Palmer and family spent the week-end here and at Salt Lake City. Wendell Winger spent the week end at home. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Carlson spent Sunday evening with Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Warrick. Mr. and Mrs. Ira J. Taylor and daughters Jackie and Alice Jean spent Sunday afternoon with relatives rela-tives here. L. A. Purser, and son Hyde, and Lyle Christensen of Preston Sixth ward called on relatives and friends here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Rasmussen spent the holiday with Mr. Ras-mussen's Ras-mussen's parents at Weston. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Taylor and family spent Sunday at Weston with relatives. Those from our ward attending the MIA social in Preston Thurs- day night were Pres. Floyd A. Bennett, Pres. Helen J. Taylor, Lee Talbot, Gretta Winger, Gwen Warrick, War-rick, Marva Kofoed and Connie Smith. The ward opening social will be held here September 10. Mrs. Clarice Hedin had her niece Miss Christensen as her guest recently. G. A. Bennett, Floyd and George Bennett made a business trip to Afton,, Wyo., last week. Vera Martin and children, Fern Bennett and children of Preston spent Thursday with Mrs. G. A. Bennett. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Palmer made a business trip to Logan one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Purser and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter, Bosworth were guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Winger and family on Labor Day. |
