Despite an insufficient representation rep-resentation of the industries of the county, President T. R. Bowden presented a re-organization plan that drew response of approval from many of the delegates present. No definite action was taken, however, and another meeting will be called in the very near future at which every effort will be made to obtain an attendance of from 200 to 300 persons. As outlined in skeleton form, the plan would' include all communities com-munities in the county with representation repre-sentation on a board of governors who would have many times the prestige and the backing that the present board has at its command. The board could then work with the county commissioners and the city boards to unite efforts In ob, taining desired objectives. Financially, the proposed organization or-ganization would present a so-' so-' lid and formidable front with , each community and the county coun-ty board of commissioners as well. Although touched on only briefly it was pointed out that the re-organization might be able to support modern headquarters with displays of the industries of the county along with a county advertising ad-vertising campaign such as is promoted pro-moted in some of the other leading counties in Idaho and Utah. Among several who spoke on the possibilities of the plan were Chase Kearl, county ex-, tension agent and a former president of the Chamber of Commerce, Henry Rawlings, county commissioner from the Fairview district, and Edwin.... Crockett, Preston. A general discussion followed. |
