HOSTESS TO FINE ARTS CLUB MONDAY Mrs. Bruce Wallace was hostess to the Fine Arts club last Monday Mon-day at her home. Mrs. Weldon Nash gave a travelogue of Cuba and exhibited articles which she had brought from Cuba. Mrs. Nash accompanied her husband to Cuba last July so was able to give her view point of the habits and customs cus-toms of the people first-hand. ENTERTAINS AT SUPPER PRIOR TO MARRIAGE Friends of Allen Cutler, Jr. entertained en-tertained at a buffet supper and an evening of merfry-making at the home of Keith Cutler on Tuesday evening prior to Allen's marriage to Miss Usa Dunkley. Six couples coup-les attended. The main feature of the evening's entertainment was a mock marriage in which the hoys, participated. MAPLETON MAID WEDS FRANKLIN MAN Mr. and Mrs. Harry Knapp announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter Adra, to Thayne Harris of Franklin. They were married Friday and immediately left for California to make their home. PRESTON HIGH ALUMNI MISSES HOLD REUNION Eighteen girls with fond memories memo-ries of the Preston high school days and who have by this time scattered to various colleges and universities for higher learning, met last Wedensday evening at the dining room of Paul's cafe and enjoyed a banquet followed by singing of high school and club songs, a-ecalling old experiences and making plans for the future. Miss Conna Beth Beckstead was appointed chairman of a committee to plan a reunion to be held during the Christmas holidays. This is to be a semi-annual event. ENTERTAINS GRATIA CLUB THURSDAY Mrs. R. H. Parkinson of Franklin entertained the Gratia club at her home last Thursday afternoon. Dinner was served at 1:30 at a long table covered with a lace cloth with ivory tapers and shaded asters as-ters for a centerpiece. Bridge was the diversion and score prizes wer6 won by Mrs. Ariel Eames and Mrs. Ada Nelson. Mrs. Nevon Eberhard was a special guest. LEAVE TO ATTEND PROVO, UTAH, COLLEGE Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Rawlings spent last Thursday in Provo, Utah. They went to take their daughter, Vila, who will attend the Brigham Young university. PTA MEMBERS ATTEND GRACE CONVENTION Twenty-one members of the Preston Parents-Teachers association associa-tion travelled to Grace last Monday to attend the tenth annual conven. tion of the Idaho Fifth district parent-teacher group. Mrs. Charles E. Roe of Washington, D. C, nation al field representative of the association associ-ation was the main speaker. In charge of arrangements for the convention were the district officers of-ficers consisting of Mrs. James Walton, Jr., of Pocatello, president; Mrs, Mattie Greaves of Preston, vice president; and Mrs. John Toombs of Pocatello, secretary.
