Show CAMFBELL RETURNS AS CITY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT Superintendent R. F. Campbell of the Preston public schools, who has been on leave of absence for the past year, returned and resumed re-sumed his duties last Tuesday. Mr. Campbell has been doing graduate study at Stanford university. He has completed all requirements, except his dissertation, for his doctor's degree in education. His major of study was educational administration. Minor fields were educational psychology, educational education-al sociology and history of education. educa-tion. Mr. Campben reports that his dissertaton is a study of the social so-cial implications of school board legislation. To gather data for such a study the larger cities of the nine Western States will be visited and the school board min utes of the last ten years period examined. It will probably be a year or more, Mr. Campbell says, before the study will be completed and written up. Asked about how Preston looked look-ed on his return, Mr. Campbell said it looked mighty, good and that he was impressed with the many improvements which had been made in both business and residential property during his absence. ab-sence.
