Show Franklin County's Larger j Fair Sees Enthusiasm Run High; Flower Show Popular ', Outstanding Exhibitors 1 In Each Class Of Fair Are Listed Franklin county's larger fair held this year in conjunction with Preston's Famous Night Rodeo was a decided suoccess as far as competition and enthusiasm was concerned. Many entries were listed in nearly every class of competition and it was only afte keen judging could winners be an. nounced. In the dairy cattle departmeiu first, second, and third place awards were given in twenty-one classes. 1 Those taking off the major part of the prize money were Alma Choules who won seven sev-en first place awards, two seconds and one third; Russell Kearl, winner win-ner of two first places; and Gerald Nuffer, winner of one first place, one second and one third, fin department two, draft horses, Lament Smith won two first place awards and one third to lead er-hihitors er-hihitors in that class." Six other exhibitors won a first and sec ond. Awards were given in J2 classes. In department three, light hors-i hors-i s, DeMar Gilbert took the mosi j jrize money when he won three j lirsts and two seconds. Awards j were given in seven classes. In the boys' pony class, Lavor i Thompson was first, . Burrington, second, and Marion Morgan, third. In the Shetland division Zetta Benson was first, Hal Weaver, i ! 3cond, and Jim Carter, third, j I Eighteen divisions of swine were jntested lor, with W. H. In the ward exhibits Franklin placed first; Preston Third ward, second; and Lmrose ,; vard, third. Outstanding individu- il exhibitors were Mrs. Flossie lerrill with three firsts and two j scouds; Mrs. W. E.
