Show TO TEACH ADULT STENO CLASSES At the last meeting of the Preston Pres-ton Board of Education plans were approved for the teaching of adult classes in typing and shorthand if there 'be sufficient demand in the community for such classes. Building Build-ing facilities, equipment, light and heat would be furnished by the school district. Fees to enrollees would have to be high enough to pay the salary of a part time teacher teac-her and purchase or rent the books needed. A minimum of fifteen students was set before a class would be offered. Classes might be as large as (thirty students. Tentatively there would be about thirty-six lessons les-sons in each course during the months of January, February and March. Classes would thus meet three times per week, probably on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings, Fees for typing would range from three to five dollars dependent de-pendent on the enrollment. For shorthand the fees would range from two to four dollars plus the cost of a text book. . Those intrested in these classes are asked to call Superintednent R. F. Campbell's office so that some idea of the . community demand de-mand may be ascertained. |
