Show Glendale GLKNDALK W. II. Simmons of the Stake M.I. A. visited our meeting meet-ing Tuesday evening and Rave a very interesting talk. Milton H. Owen of Preston was in this community for a few days this week. Wellaud F. Smith the county su perintondent of. seliool.s visited the district school hero Tuesday. A dance was held here Friday night sponsored by the Sunday School organization. Refreshments were sold and also featured a fish pond. Guy Petterborg, Lee Wheeler Whee-ler and Ruth Webber furnished the music. Last Thursday, Norman Nelson took the students of his school, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eiirhlh grades on a tour of the sugar factory fac-tory and Whitney and the court house in Preston. Mrs. Sevve.ren Nelson and Mrs. Florence Perry of Preston, Idaho, visited with Mrs. Verda Nelson, Sunday afternoon. Irene and Maxine Bosworth of Preston spent Sunday with their grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Richard Owen and family. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Peterborg spent Sunday evening visiting with Mrs. Mary Porter in Preston. Clarence Owen spent Friday ir. Logan,, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Oleen A. Jensen and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Auger attended the funeral services ser-vices held in Preston Sunday for Meldon Jensen. The stake missionaries furnished the program Sunday afternoon. The speakers were; Russell McQueen. Harold Seamons of Preston, Marve Packer and Dorothy Packer of Riverdale and Orrie Winger of Winder. Two musical numbers were rendered by Florence McQueen, Mc-Queen, Wilda Manning and Roma Beckstead of Preston. A Christmas pageant was presented pre-sented as the assembly program in Mutual Monday evening. Miss Lily Maddon who has been in Salt Lake City returned Juine Friday evening. |
