Show Well Veil Known I Cedar City Pioneer Answers Call Mrs Jane Condie Arthur Corry 81 well known pioneer of Cedar City died Monday evening at her home of ailments incident to age At the time of her death she was one of the three oldest women in he city Mrs Corry was born In fn Rock Row Clackmannan Scotland on August 10 1858 and came to America in 1861 with her mother and four brothers and sisters The family came directly to Cedar City where Mrs Corry's grandfather was on ont of the leaders in the iron development development develop develop- ment in Iron County Mrs Corry spent the remainder of her life in Cedar City She was married to Christopher Jones Arthur In the St. St George L. L D. D S. S Temple on January 18 1877 Mr Arthur died in January of 1913 J. J On June 10 1922 she married Andrew Andrew Andrew An An- drew Corry another pioneer resident resident resident resi resi- dent and Blackhawk Indian War veteran who died in 1933 Mrs Corry was a very active member of the L. L D D. S. S Church having been a teacher In the ward Relief Society for 43 years which is one of the longest continuous continuous continuous con con- service records in this vi vi- vi She was also a member of the Ole old folks' folks committee for severa severa severa sev- sev era years She was well known In Inthe Inthe inthe the community in her younger years ears as a very good practical nurse Survivors Include a son and two daughters Robert A.
