Show O O COUPLE TAKE VOWS IN SMITHFIELD Mr. and Mrs. John Hampton of Franklin announce the marriage of their daughter Adean to Ray Van Orden, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Van Orden of Lewiston, which took place Tuesday at the home of the bridegroom's unjcle, Bishop M. T. Van Orden in Smith-field. Smith-field. Bishop Van Orden performed perform-ed the ceremony. After a wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Van Orden will make their home in Lewiston. Mrs. Hampton entertained last Sunday at her home at a trousseau tea in honor of her daughter. One hundred twenty-five guests called betw-een the hours of 2 and 8 p. m. Assisting the hostess in the receiving re-ceiving line was Mrs. Alma Hampton. Hamp-ton. Assisting in the gift and trousseau rooms were Mrs. E. M. Van Orden, Mrs. Lavon Wickham, Mrs. Adrian Hampton and Mrs. Harold Wiser. The guest booic was under direction of Miss Helen Oli-verson Oli-verson and the gifts were supervised super-vised by Miss Aina Biggs. In charge of serving were Mrs. Paul Stocks and Mrs. Hoyt Whitehead, assist, ed by Mrs. George F. Cornish, Mrs. Albert Day and Miss Marjean Wickham. Colorful bouquets of autumn flowers adorned the rooms where a lovely trousseau was on display. dis-play. LOCAL GIRL TO WED IN OREGON Ruby Jensen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.B.C. Jensen of this city left Tuesday for Eugene, Oregon, where she will join her fiance, Warren Bronson. The young cou. pie will be married this week. 2 |
