Opera House To Bid Farewell Following Performances Of Show Citizens of Preston and surrounding sur-rounding communties will bid farewell fare-well next Wednesday and Thursday Thurs-day to the old Preston Opera House when the hilarious comedy "The Fatal Wedding" will be produced pro-duced on the nights of October 9 and 10. Long a center for theatrical productions, pro-ductions, stage shows, dances, boxing box-ing bouts, lectures, political meetings, meet-ings, religious meetings, and roller skating, people will bid adieu to the old recreational landmark following fol-lowing the final night's performance perfor-mance of the coming show. The stage in the rear of the building will be torn out and work will begin on the building of a new recreation center. Part of the gate receipts taken in from the show will go towards the fund for the construction. The comedy, The Fatal Wedding, will be presented at both evening's shows. Music, dancing, comedy, tears, vaudeville and drama are all packed into one bit of glorious entertainment. The feature of the show is the all-male cast of 65. The cast will be made up of local talent tal-ent under the direction of the West Coast Producing company. Among those who will take parts in the coming show are Wallace Jensen, Angus Condie.
