Show New Directors Elected By C. C. Bill Davis, A. G. Carlson, Lloyd Hogge and R. R. Rowell Chosen For New Year; President to Be Named at Meeting Next Monday, February 9. Bill Davis, A G. Carlson, Lloyd Hogge and R. R. Rowell were elected to the board of directors of Preston Chamber of Commerce, a count of the ballots last Monday rev.ealed. Davis is manager of the O. P. Skaggs store, Carlson operates the Carlson Furniture company, Hogge is cashier of the Preston branch of the First Security Bank of Idaho Ida-ho and Rowell is manager of the Utah Power and Light company. They will join five hold over members of the board in directing the chamber this year. The hold over members are Jared Lewis, S. P. Packer, Ray Bright, Ralph Strub and Russell Crockett. The new board, including the newly elected directors and hold over members, will meet February 9 to elect a president succeeding Mr Lewis, who has presided in that capacity the past year. Ballots were mailed out to the entire membership last January B, and were returned by mail to Secretary Sec-retary Mel Reeve's office the following fol-lowing month. The newly elected president will be installed at the chamber's annual an-nual banquet Thursday, February 12, at 8 p. m. in the City Recreational Recrea-tional hall. An excellent program 13 being arranged by Mr. Rowell and A. C. Conine. The speaker will be Fred G. Taylor Tay-lor of Salt Lake City, and there will be other entertainment appropriate appro-priate to the occasion. |
