HAWKS j The Fine Arts club met Monday ; evening at the home of Mrs. Wil-j Wil-j liam Hawkes, Jr. Mrs. Thatcher Ilandty was hostess. Mrs. Merlin Smith gave an in-tereating in-tereating review of the book "Country "Coun-try Editor" written by Henry B. Hough. Two vocal solos were presented for the enjoyment of the clifb by Miss Virginia Sant. Miss Sant's accompanist was Miss Goodliff. At the close of th evening, dainty dain-ty refreshments were served to club members and five guests. MRS. FUNK HOSTESS TO BRIDGE CLUB Bridge club associates of Mrs. Mar-low Funk were entertained at the Funk borne last Thursday evening. eve-ning. A delicious luncheon was served at small tables at which the St. Patrick theme had been cleverly carried out inj the arrangements. DUP TO ORGANIZE NEW" CHAPTER The Franklin County Daughters of Utah Pioneers met in the courthouse court-house 'commissioners' room last Friday evening with Co-captain Mrs. Hattie Wallgren in charge of the meeting. During the business meeting, assignments as-signments were made for visits during the month, arrangements were made to attend the conven tion in Salt Lake City, April 5 and plans were made to organize a new camp in Whitney, making me twelfth county camp. BRIDGE PARTY. HELD AT; HACKLEY HOME Mrs. Connie Hackley entertained for bridge associates last Wednesday Wednes-day evening. A dainty luncheon was served to the guests at two tables. Bridge was the diversion of the evening with Mrs. Mildred Davis and Mrs. Betty McCune winning bridge honors. ENGAGEMENT IS ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. "Vaughn Taylor of Weston announce the engagement of their daughter, LaPrele, to Eugene Eu-gene Price of Weston this week. The ceremony will take place Friday. The young couple will make their home in California where he is employed, m JUNIOR HIGH MOTHERS TO MEET MONDAY The Junior High mothers will meet at the Jefferson school on Monday, March 17 at 4 p. m. for a program and discussion of a topic "Does play Develop Responsibility." Ernest Eberliard will be the speaker. Thelma Sant is in charge of the musical program. |
