Show Oneida Station ONEIDA STATION A delightful delight-ful party was given at the Oneida quarters February 22 by Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Smoot. After a delicious luirch tile guests were entertained at a pinochle game. To make the game more interesting, special features fea-tures were added. Ed Bahen, R. D.' Nungesser and F. L. Cleveland, Oneida Operators, have completed 20 years or more of I company service. These men he-long he-long to the Utah Power and Light Old Timers' club. Members of Uie Old Timers' Club were given special spe-cial honor by company officials for their service, Mareh-8 at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Bahen, Mr. and Mrs. Nungesser, and Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland attended. Paul Bahen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bahen and a first lieutenant in the U. S. army reserve was called call-ed to active duty. He is stationed at San Diego. His wife, Phyllis Bahen and children are staying with Mr. and Mrs. E. Bahen until quartersi are found for them at San Diego. Many of the Oneida employes attended at-tended Franklin County Leadership Week March 3, 4 and 5. Everyone attending enjoyed the session very much. Spring must be in , the air for Orson Rasmussen and Harold Baird have been busy trimming the shade trees. Oneida Camp has several acres of lawns and parks, artistically laid out. These grounds keep two or three men busy from early spring until late in the fall. Mr. Rasmussen, under supervision of Supt. G. R. Sawyer is in charge of this work. Work on the Oneida; road has also al-so begun. This should be especially especial-ly good news for the many fishermen fisher-men who like to fish up the narrows. |
