Mrs. Theresa Peterson gave a very Interesting and entertaining talk In sacrament meeting last Sunday. She gave a brief account of her trip down the Pacific coast. She spent four weeks recently in Los Angeles and San Diego, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Weldon Rasmussen and Mrs. Christena Rasmussen motored mo-tored to Pocatello laBt Wednesday to the funeral of Mrs. Weldon Ras-mussen's Ras-mussen's sister. Christena stayed until Saturday but the rest of the group returned home on Wednesday. Wednes-day. Miss Mary Jensen is living in Ogden while she is temporarily employed In the Ogden Knitting Mills. The Mink Creek high school speech class is planning to attend a speech contest to be held, In Lava, next Friday, April 3. They are under the direction of Miss Hunsaker. Those going are Helen Johnson, Betty Mae Taylor, Hazel Rasmussen, MarRue Keller, Beverly Bever-ly Bell, Wanda Nelfeon, Helen Keller, Kel-ler, LaRue Baird, Carma Rasmussen, Rasmus-sen, Nova Jean Rasmussen, Betty Lou Wilde, MarDean Bennett Bon- nie Larsen, and Maxine Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Keller came home from Salt Lake last Sunday to get more of their1 furniture and make finishing arrangements to leave their home in Mink Creek to live in Salt Lake where Loren is employed at the Remington Arms factory. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Christensen are the proud parents of a new boy, born last Saturday in the Preston Memorial hospital. Tine mother and baby are coming along nicely. The Junior Choir, held their regular reg-ular Sunday evening rehearsal last Sunday evening in preparation for their visit to Riverdale on Sunday, April 19. Junius Larsen, who has been the ward chorister for many years was released last Sunday and Mrs. Margaret Keller was sustained In this position. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nelson of Cleveland visited with Mrs. Nelson's Nel-son's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Smout and Mr. and Mrs. Felix Smout, last Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jepson ana Verlon spent last week visiting in Central, Idaho, with Verda and her husband, Arnold Qualman. They returned home on' Sunday. Miss Marian Bell and Johnny Bell, children of Mr. and Mrs. Theo Bell, are recovering nicely from their illness, which had confined them to the hospital. Marian has been home from the hospital for several weeks but Jihnny returned home Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Anthon JepBon and his mother visited with Andrew Jepsen and family, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Bennett of Los Angeles, California, arrived Saturday Satur-day night in Mink Creek where they plan to visit for two weeks. Mr. Bennett is employed at the Douglas Aircraft plant. Winston Havens of Lewiston, Idaho, was the week-end guest of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Bell. Mr. Havens attends school at the USAC. n n |
