Show u o SUGGESTIONS TO CUT SHIPPING INJURIES A'ehicles used to transport stock should be inspected carefully to see that there are no loose boards, protruding nails or splinters that will injure animals. Mixed loads should have partitions to separate cattle, sheep, and hogs. If only a partial load is hauled, partitions will prevent jostling and consequent conse-quent bruising. Bedding or sand on the floor of car or truck will prevent slipping. Care should be taken at loading time to prevent undue excitement of the animals and it is good practice to feed and water sparingly before loading. |
