Show OJLBERT-RICIIARDS W EDDING HELD Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Gilbert of iJreslon announce the engagement of their daughter, Wuma to V Murray Richards of Salinas, Calif.' The wedding took place Wednesday, Wednes-day, June is iu Uie Salt Lake tempi tem-pi o. Miss Gilbert has been a student at the University of California at Berkley, for IJ.. past two and one. hair years where she lias been majoring in music. Miss Gilbert was a former student of Mrs. George Paull. Mr. Richards Is a Logan high school graduate and also is a grad-ua.e grad-ua.e of the LDS Ilusuies's college in Salt Lake. He has been affiliated affili-ated with the Southern Pacific company in Utah and California for the past three years. Following the temple wedding the couple will tour the Pacific northwest before returning to Salinas Sa-linas to make their home. STANGER-MAUGHAN WEDDING HELD Lucille Maughan daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Maughan and Ben U .Stanger, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Stanger exchanged nuptial vows Juue 11 iithe Logan Temple. Following the temple wedding members of the family were guests at a dinner given by Mrs. Denzil Lamb of Hyde Park at her home who was assisted by her sister, Mrs. Maude Spatig of Preston. The young couple left on a short honeymoon through Utah. DINNER PARTY FOR MRS. C. W. CRABTREE Mrs. Floyd Palmer and Mrs. A. E. Dursteller were co-hostesses at an informal theatre and dinner party Monday evening complimenting compliment-ing Mrs. C. M. Crabtree. Following a dinner at the Club cafe the small group attended a local lo-cal theatre. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Peterson and family of Smithfield and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Peterson ot Preston are vacationing in Yellowstone and Great Falls, Mont., where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Truman Farmer. Mrs. Farmer Is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Peterson. Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Worley are attending the Rotary International convention at Denver Colo., this week. Dr. Worley is presidentelect president-elect of the Preston club. Mrs. Austin Merrill and children Sally and Bud are spending a week in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives. |
