Show THREE WRECKS TOLL OF 'WEEK Flagman Is Posted At Factory Dump Sugar factory officials have posted post-ed a flagman at the entrance to the sugar factory beet dumps at Whitney following an accident last Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Don Handy of Logan collided col-lided with a beet truck driven by Ben Conaway of Swan Lane Just as he pulled from the factory dump, past the line of waiting trucks and onto the highway. Both persons received only . minor bruises but the Handy car was damaged to the extent of $75. Two other accidents occurred this week. The car of Billy Hone skidded from the road at a point just below Ed Evan's service station sta-tion south of the intersection of First East and U. S. Highway 91 'Tuesday evening. The car over turned one and half times, sheai ing off a telephone pole even with ;he ground. Billy escaped unhurt but the car was bady damaged. Murl Golightly is recovering at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osborn Golightly after an automobile au-tomobile accident Saturday night which occurred while he was returning re-turning home from Riverdale. Muri received one broken rib and head injuries. Lights of an approaching car allegedly blinded Mr. Golightly and in turning out to avoid hitting the car he struck a ditch on the side of the road and overturned. |
