Show Weston High News : The music groups of Weston high chool, the grade school bano and ;ie speech class presented- a music sstival in the high' school gyrnna-iitm gyrnna-iitm on April 3 under the direction ; Mr. Farker. The band has made rapid prog-iss prog-iss this year and has a very good nance to win a first rating In the State festival at Montpeller or T.ogan which would entitle the band .o enter the National Contest at Ogden. The contest numbers will be played Thursday night, at t.-i i festival. Other groups will be the girls chorus, who won first rating at Ma-Urt Ma-Urt last year; the sextet made up of LaPriel Coburn, Verna Naef, Lo-tetta Lo-tetta Griffiths, Lora Hansen, Peggy Coburn ,and Norma Goodsell; the mixed chorus which was first organized or-ganized last fall; the speech clsss which will conduct an open forum discussion on traffic rules and manners, man-ners, and soloists who are trying for state and national honors. Students participating in the festival fes-tival will include about 60 of the t tudent body and 22 from the grade school. Due to the small seating capacity capaci-ty a limited amount of free tickets will be given out (o the public by the students. The festival will be featured this year instead of the "Demonstration Program" of past years. Preparations for the Junior Prom of the class of 41 to be held April 11 are rapidly nearing" completion at tho Weston high school, o- o |
