OCR Text	Show I New Ticket May-File May-File In City Election Campaign The political cauldron, simmering quietly for the past few weeks, got up steam this week with apparently well-founded reports that a second party" Would make an appearance in the field sometime this week. The present mayor and council-men council-men announced their intentions of running for a new term two weeks ago. Reported to be beading the new ttcket is T. R. Bowden, former mayor and until Monday evening the second-term president of the Preston Chamber of Commerce. Mr. .Bowden tendered his resignation as head of the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce last Monday evening, stating that he had tentatively accepted the nomination as. a candidate for mayor. Councilmen candidates who are expected to appear on the new ticket tic-ket will inciude S. P. Packer, W. Paul Merrill, Llewellyn Jenkins, and Ezra S. Foss. o o
