Show DEFENSE COURSE HAS THIRTY ENROLLEES Defense Course A-l. repair and operation of automobiles, trucks and tractors, began on March o with thirty young men in two sections sec-tions receiving instruction under the direction of Royal Miles. It was the intention of the local advisory committee to also start courses A-3 in metal work, and A-4 in electricity. These courses have been delayed because part of the money which had been promised by the daho State Department of Vocational Vo-cational Education for equipment had been held up in Washington. D. C. Until that money is made available no equipment can be purchased pur-chased for courses A-2 and A-4. As soon as that money is available, equipment will be bought and the courses started. Prospective students stu-dents will be notified by post card when to report. Mr. and Mrs. W. O. Winger and family. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Winn spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin and family of Preston. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Talbot spent a few days last week in Idaho Ida-ho Falls at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Baxter. Mr. and Mrs. Gustavei Hedin, Mr. and Mrs. Ingram Smith attended a egg association meeting recently. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gootrey of Clarkston, parents of Mrs. Joseph H. Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sid-ney Godfrey and their three daughters, daugh-ters, also of Clarkston were dinner din-ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Hansen on Sunday. Keith Schwartz and Glade Hous-ley Hous-ley gave the y, minute talks in Sunday School, Sunday morning. |
