FRIENDS ARE DINNER GUESTS AT JONES HOME A few family friends were guests at a dinner Tuesday at the home ot U. W. Jones and also enjoyed an afternoon of visiting. Out-of-town guests present included in-cluded Reverend and Mrs. Koenig and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Har-old Ketner, all of Logan. EIGHT COUPLE ENJOY HOLIDAY PARTY Mr. and Mis. Ernest Eberhardt wore hosts last week to a group of friends when they entertained informally in-formally at their home. The social evening consisted of a delightful luncheon and table games. Eight couple were included in the evening's arrangements anil all received Christmas .gifts. "SLUMBER" PARTY MARKS NEW YEAR'S EVE Following the New Year's eve dance eleven girl friends of Miss Carol Bingham enjoyed a midnight luncheon and slumber party at the ISingham home. Miss Evans attended the LDS Business College In Salt Lake City anil later studied at the American Academy of Ait In Chicago. Mr. Bergeson Is a former student of the USAC and tho University of f ; tall. He returned last October from Argentina where he had filled fill-ed an LDH mission. The newlyweds will make their homo In Santa Monica where Mr. ItergcHOn Is employed In the Douglas Doug-las Aircraft Industry. FACULTY WIVES ENTERTAIN HUSBANDS The Faculty Wives club included their husbands In the New Year's e,vo arrangements which featured a dinner and dancing sofial. Thirty eight persons enjoyed the dinner which was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. Neff Boot ho. A patriotic color scheme combined with evergreen formed tho centerpiece of the dinner table. Alviu Harris was the evening's toastmaster and called upon Superintendent Sup-erintendent It. F. Campbell, Mrs. Thatcher Ilandley, Elmo Keller for responses. Following dinner the group concluded con-cluded tho evening with a dance at the high school's visual aid room, j Light refreshments were served at I midnight. Mathilda Larson, chairman of the evening's arrangements, was assisted assis-ted by Stella Bootho, Cassie Bell, Thelma Keller, Ruth Lundquist, Florence Onne, Kinnie Johnson I and Nevon Eberhardt. ONEIDA STAKE MIA BOARD , ENTERTAINS WORKERS All Mutual officer and their partners part-ners together with the bishoprics from the Oneida Stake wards were guests of the Stake MIA boards last Tuesday evening. The entertainment enter-tainment was in the form of a dancing social held in the Nielson gymnasium which was decorated in the New Year theme. Dayton ward received the prize of the evening for having the largest larg-est number of workers- in at ten dance. A floor show was given and refreshments were served. MISS BARBARA LARSEN ENTERTAINS FRIENDS Twelve friends of Miss Barbara Larsen were her guests last Monday Mon-day night at a jolly holiday party held at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. II. L. Larsen. Christmas Christ-mas and New Year games were played and a dainty luncheon served serv-ed by the hostess. PINOCHLE CLUB LADIES ENTERTAIN Ladies of the Pinochle club in-eluded in-eluded their husbands at an evening even-ing social held at the home of Mis. Ike Neff last Saturday night. A centerpiece of red roses was used on tho dining table from which a dinner was served. Score prizes at pinochle went to Mr. and Mrs. Royance Seamons and Mr. and Mrs. Duaiiie Seamons. TWO TABLES OF BRIDGE AT HANSEN HOME Mrs. Flora Hansen entertained at two tables of bridge Friday evening eve-ning for a group of lady friends. Holiday decorations and place cards marked the tables from which a tasty luncheon was served Score awards for the bridge games were given to Eda Smith and Lapriel Liljenquist. NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY AT CRABTREE HOME Mr. and Mrs. Milford Crabtree entertained at their home New Year's eve for eight couple. A dining din-ing table centered with sweet peas held a sumptous supper which was served to the guests at the close of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. LaVell Hansen returned re-turned to Pittsburg, California, Monday after spending the holidays with relatives in Preston and Blackfoot. |
