Show MENDON i Mendon Flower day was observed ob-served by Mendon Sunday school on Sunday morning under the direction of the superintendency with Superintendent Claud A. Sorensen presiding. Every one attending the services from kindergarten kin-dergarten to parents class carried a small bouquet of flowers. Large vases of beautiful flowers decorated decor-ated the assembly room. The following program was given: singing, "Make the World Brighter Bright-er Summer Time"; prayer Oliver Taylor"; piano solo, "End of a Perfect Day," Mozelle Barrett; talk, Ivan Barrett of Snowflake Arizona; song. Primary class; Organ solo, "Flower Song" Ellen Ladle; vocal solo. Marcelle Bird accompanied by Mozelle Barrett. Beehive girls entertained at a surprise party in honor of their teacher, Mrs. lone Larsen, Friday Fri-day evening. Girls presented her with a quilt on each block was worked in colors their beehive symbol and name. Games were played, refreshments were served serv-ed to 12. M. I. A. officers and teachers and partners held a lawn party Wednesday evening at the home of Miss Gladys Hughes. Colored lights decorated the lawn. A treasure trea-sure hunt and games formed the entertainment. Cantaloupe Sundaes Sun-daes were served to 33. |
