We as students and teachers at our school can only In a small Email way express our appreciation for our friendship with Donna But Dut we think we have fully realized that friendship especially now she has been taken from us A short time ago the she was a girl with her happy class class- mates But Dut because of or her untimely death we ue are left sadder and a little littlemore littlemore littlemore more thoughtful It was touching to I watch the tho concern held by Donnas Donna's I school companions during her illness i sorrowful to see and it was even more their grief at her death We met with I this young student dally daily and we know it will be hard for us to finish the school year without her in her place in the classroom Even more do we feel sympathy for the parents and a spirit that lives forever we came from the spirit world to take on a body by special privilege of God when death comes to us hire on earth the body returns to dust from whence it came and the spirit returns returns to God This doctrine is made plain by the Prophet Alma who taught the doctrine of the resurrection I believe that this young lovely girl is happy appy today with her little cousins who were werl such good friends LaDean and Vilate Lead Me Gently Home was sang by Ray Cosslett accompanied by the quartette The following sentiments from the First Ward Relief Society were read Whenever it comes and under whatever whatever whatever what what- ever circumstances or manner we are arc never prepared for the event that must come to us all all Death It Is regarded as one of the mysteries far beyond human understanding and human effort ef effort effort ef- ef fort and light is not great e enough ugh to penetrate the gloom of the shadow of death We usually associate death with the weary the feeble the aged aced We think of them as wanting to go as they approach the end of lifes life's Journey for they feel they have ha begun to lag and they long for rest To them it often brings a merciful relief fr from m lifes life's afflictions But when it comes to the young the beautiful the active it is then we stagger in the presence of deaths death's great mystery And yet the mystery of death is no greater than the mystery of birth We take no er cr leap into the unknown when w we wego wego go from this world than when we came into it Someone said The flooding tide that floats us In returns us home again The parents of Donna have sustained sustain sustain- ed a great a and d seemingly Irreparable loss and the heartfelt sympathy of the officers of the First Ward Relief Society
