Show !A. O. Merrill of Preston Died Monday Evening PRESTON, Idaho Adelbert O Merrill, 67, prominent business man and church worker of Preston, Pres-ton, died of a heart attack at his home here Monday evening following fol-lowing six months' illness. He was a brother of Dr. L. V. Merrill president of the Franklin stake. At the time of his death, Mr. Merrill was owner and manager of the Merrill Coal company and was a former associate of the Johnson-Merrill Coal company. He was born September , lore, in Smithfield, Utah, a son of Samuel A. and Lenora Noble Merrill. Mer-rill. He married Mary Balrd of Ogden, Utah, In the Salt Lake City temple, on March 13, 1901. They resided eight years in Swan Lake, where he was engaged In farming, after which they moved to Preston. He was a member of the high priests quorum in the Preston Second ward Mrs. Merrill died two years ago. Three sons and a daughter survive: sur-vive: Mrs. Stella M. Peterson, Roland Ro-land and Ray Merrill of Preston, and Ejgerie Merrill of Portland, Cregon; five grandchildren; nine brothers and sisters; Mrs. Mary Kay and Mrs. Ruby Beckstead of Swan Lake; Dr. L. V. Merrill, Mrs. Bertha George and Mrs. Helen M. Beckstead of Preston; Mrs. Dora Packer or Rexburg; Mrs. Priscilla Taylor of Afton, Wyo.; Dr. De Mar Merrill of Grace, and Orrin Merrill of Sacramento, Cal. Funeral services will be conducted con-ducted Friday at 2 p. m. in the Preston Second ward chapel by Bishop Howard Hall. Interment will be in Preston cemetery under direction of Hendricks, mortuary. |
