M Corry re returned returned re- re turned from El Paso Texas having been called there a few days previous i I Ion on account of the sudden death of Thos D DI Roche his brother in I Mr Roche having been a former resident of Cedar Cit City and as a matter matter mat mat- ter of information to the many friends of Mr Roche and fa family mil we have asked Mr Mr Corry to give us information information tion concerning his sudden passing away Mr Corry said that every indication indication indica tion points to the fact that the unfortunate unfortunate un un- un fortunate man was a victim of foul play His Ills body was found suspended from a perpendicular steam pipe in his office where the night before he had remained late to check up and complete business matters which had accumulated during an extended trip he h had d made into the interior of Mexico looking after the mercantile stores of the American Smelting and Refining Company of El Paso and of which he was general manager Mr Mr Corry states that everything points to the fact act that Mr Roche came to his death before the body was hanged to the steam pipe When the suspended body was discovered next morning it was found to have one knee resting on a chair immediately immediately immediately immedi immedi- against the pipe and his other foot oot on the floor both his hands in his his' pockets and still wearing his glasses there being no evidence of any struggle having been made Detectives were called in immediately immediately immediately immedi immedi- on the case and it is certainly hoped that they will be able to findt find t the e one guilty of such a heinous crime We know that we express the or th of Mrs Roche and her family in extending to them heart felt sympathy in this the hour o of their terrible bereavement |
