Pa Pace e were attended ded by a large throng of of people from C Cedar dar and anI the sur sur- sur settlements the the tabernacle being inadequate to seat them all many being compelled to stand throughout the services The floral offerings presented by scores of sympathizing friends of the bereaved ed husband and children were beautiful and completely covered the handsome casket and funer funeral pier The singing by the choir under the leadership of Elder Gordon Matheson was appealing and touching Anthone Lunt sang by special request of the family that beautiful solo Oh Dry Those Tears accompanied on the piano by Miss Inez Woodbury After th hymn Oh Oh My Father by the choir choit prayer was offered by Elder Heber Hebe Harrison of Newcastle and was followed by the choir singing sing ing the hymn Just Beyond the Hilltop Elder E. E J J. J Palmer was the first speaker and said id that the people had M. M b tG one whom we loved still live and will continue to love and to pay honor to the memory of the depart ed The death of Sister Pace is a community loss as well weIl as a family loss The departed set a beautiful example during her entire life and we know her life her works and her examples were ideal and worthy of emulation Sister Pace was a gifted gifted gift gift- ed speaker and singer and her willingness will to do anything she was called upon to do in the gospel way was marked and she did these things with a devotion that was very much appreciated by the people with whom ehe she associated Elder Palmer said that the departed loved one has gone back to her Maker as pure as as' as the day she was born The speaker quoted many passages of scripture commenting and explaining them which was very encouraging to those I called upon to mourn the departure of a loved wife and mother rn ln n conclusion conclusion con con- I elusion the speaker said sad that Sister Pace was a women among women a mother among mothers and a wife among wives one that will receive I the highest degree of glory in the kingdom of heaven Elder J. J W. W Imlay of Hurricane was the next speaker who said that he had known the deceased for years and knew her as a woman woman who had hadI the right phase in life Her life was I directed along right ines Elder ImI Imlay Imlay Im Im- Im- Im I lay said that he did not believe that death was the end of life ant and if we live aright as Sister Pace had done we were sure to meet again in a better bet ter tel sphere Women such as Sister Pace have been g given gen en the greatest mission possible that of becoming mothers in Isreal The departed has fulfilled the measure of her creation I and ard will receive a great reward in Gods God's kingdom Sister Mary l Marsden of Parowan an associate of Sister r Paces Pace's in the Relief Society of the Parowan Stake was called to the pulpit and saidI said I that fhe he had learned to love and to appreciate the goodness and loyalty I of the departed and honored herfor her herfor for her devout love for the gospel and her noble character The speaker said that in all her associations with I Sister Eister Pace she had found her to be bea a true latter-day latter Saint and a devout out mother in Isreal Sister Marsden l then read the following Resolutions of Respect prepared by the Parowan Parowan Paro Paro- wan Stake Relief Society Board Resolutions of Respect and love to Nellie NelUe T. T Pace daughter of Amas and May W Thornton was born in Pinto Washington County Utah Feb 18 1870 and there her childhood childhood childhood child child- hood and young womanhood was liv liv- Ii v- v ed She was married to J. J Granville Pace Sept 18 1895 She was the mother of nine children four of whom preceded her to the other world i She was a member of the Stake Stake- Relief Society and had also worked as an aide in the Stake M ll I.
