Provo The city commission will be asked to change the present license ordinance. The practice of issuing licenses li-censes to traveling merchants, who come into the city along toward the holiday period and secure trade which is claimed by the local merchant, is the objection raised by the Provo business men. The cost of securing u license for this period, which is the cream of the year, is negligible, while the local lo-cal merchant must pay a high rate for his year-round license, is is asserted.
