Show Engineer Bacon Appoints McBride The announcement of the appointment appoint-ment of Brice McBride to the post as water commissioner on the Sevier river, for the coming year, will be greeted with considerable satisfaction satisfac-tion by the water users along the Sevier river. Mr. McBride, through I his efficiency, has won a splendid reputation for his square dealings with the water users and general satisfaction is expressed at State Engineer Bacon's selection. The Salt Lake Tribune last week had the following fol-lowing about the appointment: "Appointment of Brice McBride as water commissioner on the Sevier river for the year beginning April 1, 1928, has been announced by George M. Bacon, state engineer. The appointment ap-pointment was made in pursuance of a recommendation made by the board of directors of the Sevier River Water Users' association, which represents rep-resents considerably more than the majority of the w-ater users on the system. The board of directors of the association as-sociation voted $8000 to take care ; of the expense of distributing water for the year mentioned, and the expenditure ex-penditure of that amount will be in the sole charge of Mr. McBride. The directors also recommended that Mr. McBride establish his residence j somewhere near the center of the system. Mr. Bacon has requested Mr. Mc- , Bride to confer with him in the near I j future regarding the preparation of j the schedule of assessments for the ' coming season. At the request of , the board of directors of the associ- ation, the schedule levying assess-; assess-; ments will be made out for what last j season were listed as class 1 water I users on a pro rata basis of the j acre-feet delivery to those users. |
